QAI Six Sigma Yellow Belt training
Course Hours:  16-hours , 8a-5p each day

About the course:

QAI’s Yellow Belt training session is an introduction to the most common tools and principals used by and in Quality today. In addition to being our Yellow Belts class this week of quality fundamentals also happens to be the starting week of QAI’s Green Belt and Black Belt training classes.

This two-day training session gets beyond theory, gets into DMAIC. acquaints team members with Six Sigma project management, and makes your team members into more knowledgeable, valuable, and effective team members.

We like to think of this class as Quality 101.  We’ve filled this class with tons of hands-on activities, real-life examples, and practical application of quality tools.
Help your employees by providing the training that you and they can use for proactive interpretation, advanced problem solving and reporting, preventive action and maintenance, and continual improvement, while improving relationships with your customers.

This course provides a solid foundation for future growth and understanding of the Quality Principals and Practices. Successful graduates of this class can further improve on these learned skills by registering later for higher level Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma training classes.

Note:  Neither software nor computers are required in the QAI Six Sigma Yellow Belt training class.

This is a basic Quality training program that will touch all of the components of the DMAIC cycle.  So, forget about all of the ‘statistical stuff’ that people told you that Six Sigma is all about: this is Quality 101.

The DMAIC Model of Six Sigma

  • Define.  State the process
  • Measure.  Collect the process
  • Analyze.  Interpret the data
  • Improve.  Enhance the process
  • Control.  Maintain the process/progress

As the class progresses through the modules, the most commonly used Six Sigma tools and techniques are taught and demonstrated using case studies, simulation exercises, and role playing.
