Virtual ISO 9001:2015 Certified QMS Lead Auditor
8
a.m. -5 p.m. daily in your chosen time zone
About the course:
Since
1999, QAI has taught tens of thousands of people to be effective auditors,
audit team members, and audit team leaders. Our successful pass-fail rate
of over 98% proves that point.
In 2006, QAI paved the way for a Lead Auditor training class that matches the
normal working hours that adults are accustomed to working. In the past,
cramming in an outdated style of "brain dump training" culminated
with the results of a 2-hour exam on day five was the norm.
In
the QAI Competency Based Lead Auditor training session, students get four
days of 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. instruction.
With multiple, progressive learning approaches, including hands-on practice
auditing, our QMS Lead Auditor training course prepares graduates to become
effective professional QMS auditors.
The course includes a
complete and thorough review of the ISO9001 standard that includes tips
for auditors and tips for system managers. These become especially useful after
the training is complete when students are using the workbook as a reference.
The QMS portion of the workshop includes a special section for risk management
as required in the QMS standard. We’ll describe what is required, what to
include, how to maintain, what auditors will look for, and what internal
auditors should look for. This session includes a practical
recommendation for a means to easily facilitate and accomplish this risk
management process using established industry tools.
Lecture topics will also include certain implementation and documentation
strategies and methods. Workshop activities are designed to strengthen the
ability to assess a complete QMS system and its conformance to the
standard.
As we move into the auditing and audit team leadership modules, we’ll cover all
of the components of the complete audit cycle - from planning the audit all the way to writing the report.
Group case studies with mock auditing, reinforce the learning process
and help to familiarize students with process auditing. The course is designed
around an actual case study of a facility and its’ Quality Management System. Activities
reinforce all of the steps required in a formal audit including planning the
system audit, creating an agenda for the team of auditors, an
opening meeting, using common audit planning tools, properly documenting
nonconformance's, a closing meeting, writing the report and even audit follow-up activities.
Rather than a bunch of disconnected examples, QAI students will over the course of four-days students be conducting an
assessment of our case study facility and will make the decision on a possible registration
recommendation. It's four days of auditing a single organization just like a real audit.
Graduates of the course will have learned and practiced to assess an entire QMS for conformance to
requirements. This makes it a popular training program for team members
responsible for the overall system, future professional auditors, and supplier
auditors.
Quality Management System:
QMS module of the course, Day 1 and Day2.
You’ll learn:
· A detailed
clause-by-clause review of the standard itself utilizing QAI’s Clause Training
Matrix.

that will help students to not only understand how to implement Risk Assessment

Competency based training
Competency based training is learning by doing. This is not just lecture: even in our virtual training sessions there are hours and hours of hands-on
activities and practice activities to help make auditing easier and practical.
This help make the training enjoyable, easy to learn, go by quickly, challenging
but fun.
Students get results that are measurable because competency training
is based on your ability to demonstrate that you can effectively perform certain
audit tasks.
Multiple examination of competency proving activities take place several times
each day. Students receive feedback and guidance in each competency proving examination
activity. The feedback and guidance help make certain that students
not only understand the material but are able to apply it in their
job. The multiple examinations help instructors assure that a
student understands and grasps the material. Instructors can then provide tailored
guidance to help the student understand any gaps that may not have been closed
to that point. Reassessing and re-guiding from an instructor with
"real world" experiences helps to improve confidence in abilities,
helps in applying the newly learned information, and improves your competence. When
students leave this course they already know if they have passed the
course – there’s no more waiting for results of a final examination like the
old, boot camp days of Lead Auditor training. Instructors like this
format too because they get feedback along the way about how well they are
transferring critical knowledge. It is a blend that works for everyone.
About our instructors:
With energetic, enthusiastic, and experienced internationally certified
auditors as instructors, students get more than "slide readers" at
all QAI training sessions. In this QAI Lead Auditor course, students get
real-world, professional know-how partnered with outstanding training
materials.
Workbook reference guide:
A handsome, durable, and professionally prepared student book
will not only display well but it will serve nicely as a reference for years to
come. The system manager tips and auditor tips for every clause are indispensable tools for your auditing and managing future. .
About the virtual training:
Virtual training is
conducted in the time zone listed.
QAI uses the Cisco Webex Training System. In order for the virtual
training to be interactive, like our in-person sessions always were, we use
multiple tools to accomplish collaboration and document sharing. This requires that a student have multiple
browser windows open at the same time. There’s no way around this in the
virtual world. For instance, you will
review an electronic copy of a process and you will need to complete an
electronic form at the same time. That
will require two-windows to be open at the same time. People comment that it
should be all on one screen- it is on one screen: yours with multiple windows
open. We have yet to find a way around that reality.
New for 2021 | Pre-training training - basic terms
After registering for our ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training, students will be provided access to two online basic QMS terms and basic Auditing terms training programs. Each will take about 1 hour to complete and each has a 20 question quiz. Students are required to take the training prior to the start of training and must receive a passing score of 70% or above on the quizzes. There is no additional charge for already registered students.
Tools you will need, want, or wish you had for virtual training:
Windows 10 operating system
A headset with microphone is STRONGLY Suggested
Dual Monitors is STRONGLY suggested (definitely helps with the multiple browser
windows)
Ability to access QAI’s SharePoint folders and sites for the training
After you register for a
class:
-Registered students
will receive an email from QAI to test their readiness for the virtual training
-Once the student completes the readiness quiz,
they will be accepted into the training roster.
